At school we had to pick a science word to make into a hat for our Science Hat Parade. I chose the word Dementia to teach people about my dad’s disease, frontotemporal dementia. The main part of the hat is a normal brain and the little brains show where the dementia starts in someone who has FTD versus someone who has Alzheimer’s Disease. I loved teaching other kids about the brain and what can happen when it gets sick. I learned a lot too and know that my dad would be proud of me!
